Jorge E. Orozco

As a New York Life bilingual Financial Professional and Licensed agent, I sincerely believe that most people want to do what is right: right for themselves, right for their families, and right for their communities. In fact, I selected New York Life because it is simply the right fit for both my career and my important clients. Today more than ever, I believe it is extremely important to rely on the financial strength¹, ethics, guarantees², customer service, and  the company's financial strategy. 

You can take comfort in the fact that I have been a proud resident of Kansas City for many years, and therefore have a vested interest in seeing our metropolitan area grow and thrive . I enjoy volunteer work by giving time and treasure to my community and people in need around the world. I am an active member of my Knights of Columbus council, the 4th Degree Assembly and I serve as the Hispanic membership coordinator for the Missouri State Council.  I am the current President of The Society of St. Joseph and proud sponsor for UNBOUND and Doctors Without Borders.  

As a loving father to my children, I have many of the same hopes and aspirations as my clients and I am happy to share with you all the resources and information that my practice has to offer.

You might find it reassuring to know that I am a registered financial services professional with 27 years of experience in the financial services industry. I hold a BA in business administration and have participated in New York Life's well-known training program, NYLIC University. I have worked in various leadership roles and capacities for Citigroup, Inc., GE Capital Corporation, Knights of Columbus Insurance, MassMutual and until recently as a Partner for New York Life Insurance Company. 

I have received various awards, but I am proud to mention some of them. I was awarded the 2004 Gerald L. Phillippe award by General Electric Corporation for distinguished community leadership. I was also awarded the 2015 Missouri Agent of the Year by Knights of Columbus Insurance,  the 2017, 2018, and 2019 Quality Service Award by the National Association of Insurance Counselors and the 2020 most valuable professional award for the New York Life Greater Kansas City general office.

Of course, my background is not really the one that matters. To be the best possible financial service professional and agent, I have found that getting to know my clients – their hopes, dreams and goals for the future – is the most important first step.
